Background[]
This mostly brahmin and razorgrain farm was owned by Raymond and Loretta Tanner.
Layout[]
The farm occupies a main house as well as a few grain silos and some large metal sheds.
Notable loot[]
Notes[]
A gang of local raiders, seeking to make it big and known as the Cullwater Creek Clan, have taken over the farm. Players arrive at Tanner's Farm to discover that is has been overrun by a gang of ATL raiders, who have killed Raymond Tanner and his wife Loretta, their corpses hang from trees next to their old farmhouse. When the first raider sees "Karen" he quickly responds with:
At the house, the party discovers a number of slaves taken captive, most now dead, but a few still alive. Roughly a dozen raiders live at the farm house. The player's may discover a note on a dead raider that reads: "...unbelievable black topsoil in which anything could grow, not the least being bananas. Pirate, driven to despair by the wartime banana shortage, decided to build a glass hothouse on the roof, and persuade a friend who flew the Rio-to-Ascension-to-Fort-Lamy run to pinch him a sapling banana tree or two [...] Pirate has become famous for his Banana Breakfasts."
If interrogated, the raider boss Harlan of the Cullwater Creek Clan divulges the following:
He then shows the party the following:
Enclave Reconnaissance Production Facility[]
The facility had once been an Enclave research and production lab that was taken over by EXODUS and turned into a Husk production facility. The entrance to the Facility is located behind a hidden false wall in one of the metal sheds next to one of the wheat silos on the farm. A hand scanner (bypassed with a successful difficulty 5 Hacking test) allows entrance into an elevator which descends down into the facility. However, upon entering the facility the local mainframe does not recognize the security credentials and immediately dispatches Husks from the production facility below.
The players hear the announcement: "Security credentials not found"
The elevator entrance to the Husk production facility is guarded by a laser grid. At the laser grid the computer announces: "Genetic anomaly detected. Security lockdown in effect."
To bypass the grid, players will need to make their way through the facility to a) find an old biometric ID card, b) get genetically screened, and c) put their genetic credentials on the card. Players can find this information on an available terminal a document "HR Procedures for New Employees". Upon killing first Husk:
Access Granted
One one of the terminal monitor screens in the Upper Level the players see a map of Atlanta with glowing concentric rings around Arcjet Plant No. 6 and around the Communicable Disease Center.
Production Facility Sub-level[]
If the players manage to hack a terminal (level 4 difficulty) they find a terminal with documents written in ASCII, which seem to be EXODUS' directions to itself about designing this facility to recon the specific threat that EXODUS feels from the Enclave. The terminal is glitchy and appears to soft reboot or cycle frequently.
While in the Production sub-level, players witness a human who is clearly still alive being "transformed" into a HUSK and killed by the machines in the process.
